This Friday May11th, 2012; Citizens, friends and neighbors of Rukoma Sector commemorated and honored the victims of the Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi in 1994. At his daily event word, Etienne Muvunyi the Sector Executive Secretary revealed that this was their time with the entire population to mourn for many Tutsi killed in the 1994 Genocide in previous Taba commune.

Monique MUKASINE, one of survivors testified a component of very heartbreaking moments they went across during the Tutsi Genocide in 1994. She added that former regimes abused and hatred the Tutsi for many years.

From 20th to 27th February 2012, Kamonyi District is in a one week Customer Care Campaign. This type of sensitization started yesterday on Monday with a tour of Nkoto trading Center located in Sector Rugarika by a two sides delegation composed by the District authorities and security organs, purposely to provide advice for positive service to clients.
