In the past year performance contract, there was improvement in good governance whereby there was introduction of community policing, 85% of the problems brought by the people were solved74.7% of the population participated in the community work commonly known as "Umuganda", 96% participated in the parliamentary elections that were held last year.

There was also an improvement in agriculture whereby more hectares of land were used to cultivate different kinds of crops in such a way that there was a tremendous increase in the output in the second output and there will be construction of a cassava processing factory.

The district signed a performance contract that had different aspects of administration including good governance especially in maintaining security of people and property, to increase capacity in information communication, to help the youth and improve culture, to fight corruption, to improve agriculture, education, health, economy, energy and many more.
