Kamonyi District has got many projects including building houses for genocide victims and the vulnerable people. With the help of TIG there a project to build many houses houses in such a way that the vulnerable people that do not have proper shelter can be provided with well constructed houses.

There is a project to build industries that will process agricultural products in order to value to it inluding one for processing cassava, pineapple, milk, and meat. There is also another project to plant trees because it helps reduce soil erosion and maintain the soil fertility.

There is a project to arrange the settlement in Rugazi village by constructing modern houses on 434 plots of land that were measured. There is also another project to repair 32km of roads inluding Rugenzi-Nkoto, Kamonyi-Rukoma and Nkoto-Ngoma roads and some bridges in some sectors.

The district started a project to provide clean water to its population by conducting a feasibility study and expanding the water pipeline of Mbizi, Murara, Manogo, Gacurabwenge, Rugarika, Rwakanyange-Kigese and others.
