The district has put aside funds to construct a cultural center (Itorero Center) at the district level that will be having all the necessities like television, a fully stocked library, and an auditorium for functions like plays, live band etc. This center will also be having a permanent worker to oversee the activities of the center so that it is maintained properly.

Currently the district has been able to bury more than 20,000 remains of people that lost there lives during the 1994 genocide. There is need to take good care of genocide memorial centers and more are needed to be built like now the memorial site of Mugina is being completed. There still more than 30,000 remains of people that need to be given a decent burial.
