The process of distributing land begins with preparing villages because it was discovered that the essential infrastructure that can bring economic and social development must be brought to villages so that people can get attracted to live there.

According to MINALOC program, people should live in well arranged villages, because of that Kamonyi District prepared at least one village in each sector so that it can be used as exemplary to others and this village should be having all the essential socio-economic infrastructure.

Kamonyi doesn't a good town plan. The settlement, up to now, is still dispersed, almost 99% of the houses are not well constructed and they are dispersed on the slopes of the hills. it is a very small number of people that are living in villages.

This dispersed kind of settlement does allow many people to easily get access to essential development needs. And it also doesn't favor agriculture because its not good to cultivate or graze on scattered pieces of land.
